Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray and forward Naz Hillmon have been selected for the USA Basketball 3×3 Women’s National Team roster that will compete at the FIBA 3×3 Champions Cup in Bangkok from March 13 to March 15, according to a March 9 announcement by USA Basketball.

The selection of Gray and Hillmon highlights their recent achievements with the Atlanta Dream and their ongoing contributions to international basketball. Their participation is significant as it marks the first appearance for the U.S. women’s team in this tournament, following qualification after winning the 2025 FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup in León, Mexico.

Gray played a key role during the AmeriCup championship run, earning tournament MVP honors as the United States secured gold and qualified for the Champions Cup. She previously won a gold medal in 3×3 basketball at the 2020 Olympic Games. Both players are coming off strong seasons with Atlanta; Gray was named First Team All-WNBA, finished fourth in MVP voting, and became the first guard in league history to win three Player of the Month honors in one season. Hillmon earned WNBA Sixth Player of the Year honors while setting a franchise record for most consecutive games played.

Pool play begins on March 13 with matches against Madagascar, followed by games against the Netherlands and Australia on March 14. The top two teams from each pool will advance to semifinals before concluding on March 15. The tournament features eight teams per gender, including continental champions, World Cup winners, top-ranked nations, and host Thailand. The winner will earn direct qualification to future international competitions including the 2027 FIBA 3×3 World Cup.

The Atlanta Dream maintains its role as a key team in the WNBA according to the official website. The organization serves the Southeast region according to its official website and focuses on empowering girls through basketball education, leadership development, and community initiatives according to its official website.
