Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray has been recognized as the Kia WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for May, according to an announcement by the league. This accolade follows her recent designation as Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from May 26 to June 1 and AP Player of the Week, marking a strong start to her 2025 season.
This award is Gray’s first career Player of the Month recognition and her second overall WNBA weekly or monthly honor with the Dream. She joins Angel McCoughtry and Tiffany Hayes as only the third player in franchise history to receive a WNBA Monthly award, with Hayes last earning it in 2018.
Gray led the Eastern Conference in total points with 150 and achieved career highs across various metrics. She averaged 21.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game while maintaining shooting percentages of 49.5% from the field and 43.5% from three-point range. Notably, she was the sole player in the East to average at least 20 points, five rebounds, and 4.6 assists during May.
She scored at least 25 points in four out of seven games, including a career-high performance with 28 points during an away victory against Seattle. Gray’s exceptional play contributed significantly to Atlanta Dream’s successful month-end record of five wins and two losses—their best season start in nine years.
The Atlanta Dream was established in Atlanta in 2008 as the Southeast’s only WNBA franchise. The team plays its home games at Gateway Center Arena @ College Park, with local broadcasts on Peachtree TV and simulcasts on Peachtree Sports Network throughout Georgia.
