The Atlanta Dream announced on April 12 the signing of Australian guard Isobel Borlase, following her standout season in the Women’s National Basketball League. Borlase, who is 21 years old, was named WNBL MVP for the 2025–26 season after leading the league in scoring and earning recognition as one of its top young talents.
Borlase’s addition to the roster highlights the team’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its lineup with international talent. Her performance last season included averaging 22.9 points per game along with strong rebounding and assist numbers, demonstrating both efficiency and versatility on the court.
Her achievements also include a notable single-game performance where she scored 42 points, making her just the eleventh player in WNBL history to reach that milestone and breaking a two-decade record. She was originally selected by Atlanta with the twentieth overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft before continuing her development overseas.
“Isobel is one of the most promising young guards in the international game, and her growth over the past year has been exceptional,” said Dream General Manager Dan Padover. “She brings scoring ability, versatility and a competitive edge that fits what we are building here in Atlanta. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Dream.”
Prior accolades for Borlase include being named WNBL Sixth Woman of the Year and Breakout Player of the Year in 2023 as well as All-WNBL First Team honors in both 2024 and this past season. Internationally, she helped Australia win medals at major youth tournaments.
