The Atlanta Dream has signed forward Sika Koné to a contract for the remainder of the season, according to an announcement from the team.

Koné, who stands 6-foot-3 and has two years of experience in the WNBA, was originally drafted by the New York Liberty as the 29th overall pick in 2022. She has previously played for both the Chicago Sky and most recently, the Washington Mystics.

A native of Mali, Koné has represented her country’s national team and contributed to their success at recent international tournaments. She helped Mali secure a bronze medal at the 2023 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket and a silver medal at this summer’s 2025 tournament. During the latest competition, she averaged 10.4 points and 11 rebounds per game while shooting 47.5% from inside the arc.

In addition to her WNBA career, Koné played for Perfumerías Avenida Baloncesto in Spain during the 2024-25 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto season. There, she posted averages of 12.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, with shooting percentages of 63.1% on two-point attempts and 40% from three-point range.
