The Atlanta Falcons have announced the 2025 class of the HBCU Fellows Program, presented by Wells Fargo. This program provides an eight-week paid experience for students from Atlanta’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), offering career-building opportunities in sports and entertainment, brand engagement, and financial empowerment.

In its third year, the program includes 14 fellows from Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Clark Atlanta University. Participants will engage in 11 departmental rotations across AMB Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE), gaining practical experience in various fields such as photography, stadium production, sports technology, and brand communications.

To kick off the fellowship experience, participants joined a “Brush with Kindness” volunteer activity on July 10. This event was organized in partnership with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, the City of Atlanta, and Wells Fargo. The initiative focuses on providing exterior home preservation services for those unable to perform these tasks due to age or financial constraints.

Latonda Henderson, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at AMBSE said: “The HBCU Fellowship Program represents our long-term commitment to creating access into the sports and entertainment industry.”

Tai Roberson from Wells Fargo added: “Wells Fargo is honored to continue serving as the presenting sponsor for the HBCU Fellows Program.”

Rosalyn Merrick of Atlanta Habitat noted: “Brush with Kindness is one of many ways Atlanta Habitat for Humanity goes ‘beyond the build’ to help families thrive.”

Mayor Andre Dickens emphasized community involvement: “Atlanta continues to be a group project… this is how we make Atlanta the best city in the nation to raise a child.”

The day of service complemented a comprehensive fellowship curriculum that includes mentoring from executives at both organizations and a visit to NFL headquarters in New York. Fellows will also collaborate on a capstone project addressing current business challenges within sports and entertainment.
