Brightmoor Nursing Center, LLC ranked as Spalding County’s second largest nursing facility in the opening quarter of 2026, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) data shows.
The available statistics for Q1 2026 indicate that Brightmoor provided 133 beds, surpassing the Spalding County average by 16. The center served an average of 124.6 residents during the same period.
CMS awarded Brightmoor Nursing Center, LLC an overall score of 2 out of 5, which falls below Georgia’s nursing home average of 2.7.
Spalding Post Acute, LLC had the largest number of beds in Spalding County this quarter with 148 available, while Pruitthealth – Griffin was third with 69 beds.
Brightmoor Nursing Center, LLC did not record any fines or penalties for the first quarter of 2026.
Spalding County, Georgia includes three for-profit nursing home operations.
U.S. Census Bureau estimates highlight that the nation’s older demographic continues to grow as the population of children declines. Between 2020 and 2024, there was a 13% increase in Americans age 65 and older, contrasted with a 1.7% drop in those under 18. The older adult population rose from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million by 2024.
A 2021 research brief estimated that about 28 million in this age group—nearly half—could require long-term services and supports. More than one-third are projected to eventually need care in nursing home facilities.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director at the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education organization. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
