Residents of Clayton County are invited to attend a public discussion about the county’s future with Chairwoman Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry. The event, called “Real Talk with Chairwoman Anderson-Henry,” will take place on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Lake Spivey Recreation Center in Jonesboro from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
According to organizers, the session will include participation from representatives of several county departments and is described as a “Clayton connected discussion.” The event aims to give residents an opportunity to engage directly with local leadership and learn more about ongoing and upcoming initiatives.
“Discuss the Future of Clayton County during a Real Talk with Chairwoman Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry,” said event organizers.
Recent data shows that enrollment at Clayton County schools declined by 2.5% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year (https://www.gadoe.org/). In total, there were 61,644 students enrolled in county schools during that period (https://www.gadoe.org/). Demographic figures indicate that white students represented only 2% of the student body for that school year (https://www.gadoe.org/).
The meeting is part of efforts by local officials to maintain communication with residents and address community concerns under the banner #ClaytonConnected.
