Fayette County had one gas station selling diesel gas at the lowest price of $3.35 per gallon during the week ending Jan. 31, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $3.51 per gallon for diesel gas.
Of the 48 reported gas stations located within Fayette County, 25 offered diesel gas.
The average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas in Georgia was $3.43, unchanged from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
