According to the Georgia Department of Education the enrollment at Clayton County schools dropped by 2.5% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year. The same source reports that Clayton County schools enrolled a total of 61,644 students during this period.
In terms of student demographics within Clayton County schools for the 2022-23 school year, Black students made up the largest group at 68%, while Hispanic students were the second most represented group at 24%. Multiracial students accounted for 3% of enrollment, making them the third most represented group. White students were the least represented ethnic group at just 2%.
