Recent data shows that enrollment at Clayton County schools decreased by 2.5% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education (https://www.gadoe.org/). The total number of students enrolled was 61,644 for that period (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students made up only 2% of the student population, making them the least represented ethnic group in county schools during that year (https://www.gadoe.org/).
“Clayton County Fire Station No. 1 construction continues with the goal of opening in early 2026. Meanwhile, design and preparation of site for the new Sector 4 police precinct is ongoing,” according to a statement from county officials.
