Chairwoman Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry announced on May 22 that the Clayton County Affordable Housing Summit will take place on Saturday, June 27, at 10 a.m. The event will be held at the Clayton State University Student Activities Center in Morrow, Georgia.
The summit aims to bring together community members, advocates, residents, investors, builders and developers, agencies, stakeholders and anyone interested in advancing affordable housing solutions in Clayton County. Organizers say the event will include talks and networking opportunities focused on making housing accessible and affordable for everyone.

Recent data show that enrollment at Clayton County schools dropped by 2.5% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year; total enrollment was reported as 61,644 students during that period according to the Georgia Department of Education (source). Black students made up the largest portion of enrolled students (68%), followed by Hispanic students (24%), multiracial students (3%), and white students (2%) according to the Georgia Department of Education (source).
