Clayton County’s Office of Digital Equity offers free technology training for residents

The Office of Digital Equity will offer a free technology training session on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Forest Park Senior Center, located at 5087 Park Ave, Forest Park, GA 30297.

The training is designed to help participants learn how to use personal computers, laptops, Apple iPhones, and Apple iPads. It will also include information on protecting digital identities. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own devices for this hands-on session. Registration is required due to limited space and can be completed online.

This initiative comes as Clayton County schools saw a decrease in enrollment by 2.5% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year (https://www.gadoe.org/). In that period, there were a total of 61,644 students enrolled in Clayton County schools (https://www.gadoe.org/). The student body was made up mostly of Black students at 68%, followed by Hispanic students at 24% (https://www.gadoe.org/), multiracial students at 3%, and White students at just 2% (https://www.gadoe.org/).
