Clayton County Superior and Magistrate Courts announce office closure for staff development

The Offices of the Superior and Magistrate Courts in Clayton County will be closed on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to staff development. According to the official statement, “The Offices of the Superior & Magistrate Courts will be closed on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for staff development.”

This closure comes as Clayton County schools have experienced changes in enrollment patterns over recent years. During the 2022-23 school year, enrollment at Clayton County schools decreased by 2.5% compared to the previous year (https://www.gadoe.org/). The total number of students enrolled during that period was 61,644 (https://www.gadoe.org/). In terms of demographics, white students represented only about 2% of the student body in Clayton County schools for the same academic year (https://www.gadoe.org/).
