The Converse Valkyries, featuring former McIntosh High School standout Natasha Fife, secured a 15-7 victory over the Fayetteville State Broncos in their NCAA Division II softball matchup Sunday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m.
Tyger River Park was the site of the game, which marked the second time this season they faced the Broncos. The Valkyries had fallen 4-2 to Fayetteville State on Saturday, Feb. 21, in their previous meeting.
Fife gave up five earned runs over 3.2 innings, striking out three and issuing one walk.
The Valkyries are set to play next on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. at Tyger River Park versus Carson-Newman Eagles.
