Converse Valkyries fall 7-1 to Shorter Hawks in NCAA Division II matchup

At 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, the Converse Valkyries, featuring former McIntosh High School standout Natasha Fife, were defeated 7-1 by the Shorter Hawks in NCAA Division II softball action.

The contest was played at Tyger River Park and marked the teams’ second meeting this season. Earlier that day, the Valkyries secured a 2-1 win over the Hawks.

Fife pitched five innings, surrendering four earned runs and striking out two batters.

The Valkyries are set to play next on Tuesday, March 17, at 1 p.m. at Crusader Field, facing the Belmont Abbey Crusaders.
