Former McIntosh High School standout Natasha Fife appeared with the Converse Valkyries as they were defeated 12-3 by the Mars Hill Lions in an NCAA Division II softball contest Sunday, Feb. 22, at 1:30 p.m.

The matchup, played at Tyger River Park, marked the team’s second game against Mars Hill this season. Converse previously lost 9-2 to the Lions in a game held Saturday, Feb. 21.

Fife surrendered seven earned runs in 0.2 innings, issuing one walk and collecting one strikeout.

The Valkyries will next face Fayetteville State Broncos Sunday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m. at Tyger River Park.
