Drake London, the Atlanta Falcons wide receiver who has missed the last four games due to a PCL sprain in his knee, will return to play against the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday in Glendale, Arizona. London’s status had been uncertain throughout the week, but he confirmed his positive progress on Thursday.
“I want to get back out there quick as possible,” London said. “Everything is going smoothly. I’ve been making good strides and leaps. That’s all I can ask for.”
Head coach Raheem Morris expressed confidence in London’s return during a press conference on Friday afternoon. Morris also stated that edge rusher James Pearce Jr., who was listed on the injury report with a foot injury on Friday, is expected to play.
The team previously ruled out starting cornerback Mike Hughes due to an ankle injury. Defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus, whose status was also in question ahead of the game, will be active for Atlanta.
The list of inactive players for Sunday’s game includes:
– CB Mike Hughes
– RB Nathan Carter
– ILB JD Bertrand
– OL Michael Jerrell
– WR Casey Washington
– DL Elijah Garcia
– WR Malik Heath
Malik Heath returned to Atlanta for a personal matter and has been designated as out for Sunday’s game.
