The Atlanta Falcons are entering the 2025 NFL season with expectations for a high-powered offense, which is drawing attention from fantasy football players preparing for their drafts. The team features several players projected to have significant impact in fantasy leagues.

Running back Bijan Robinson is widely regarded as a top pick. Last season, he finished fourth in total yards from scrimmage with 1,887 and scored 15 touchdowns. From Week 6 onward, Robinson led all running backs in fantasy points per game in PPR formats. He remains the focal point of the Falcons’ offense under offensive coordinator Zac Robinson and benefits from one of the league’s strongest offensive lines.

Mike Clay of ESPN said, “Robinson finished top 5 among RBs in snaps, carries, routes, targets, touches, yards and fantasy points. Entering his age-23 campaign and working in an Atlanta offense that was the third-run-heaviest in the league last season, Robinson is primed for another elite season and should be under consideration with the first overall pick of your draft.”

CBS Sports added, “Robinson has the chance for a big season in 2025, and he should be considered a top-five overall pick in the majority of leagues. You can make a strong case for him to be No. 1 overall based on how 2024 finished when he averaged 22.5 PPR points per game in his final eight outings…hopefully that’s the norm in 2025.”

Pat Fitzmaurice (FantasyPros) stated, “Bijan thrived in his second NFL season under new Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson…I think he deserves to be the first RB off the board in 2025 fantasy drafts.”

According to FantasyPros rankings and projections, Atlanta’s running backs face favorable conditions this year with what is rated as the fifth-easiest schedule at their position.

Wide receiver Drake London also stands out after finishing as WR13 last year. In three games with quarterback Michael Penix Jr., London showed increased production and potential upside. Next Gen Stats reported London had one of the highest slot target rates among receivers with significant slot usage last year.

Pat Fitzmaurice (Fantasy Pros) commented: “Michael Penix is taking over as Atlanta’s starting QB this season, and London really clicked with the young QB when he got a late-season audition last year…He has become a blue-chip wide receiver and now warrants a top-15 selection in fantasy drafts.”

CBS Sports wrote: “In three starts with Penix, London had 22 catches for 352 yards and two touchdowns…London should continue to dominate targets…We consider him a top-10 receiver coming into the season…”

The Ringer added: “London was literally the no. 1 wide receiver in fantasy football for the three weeks Michael Penix Jr. started for Atlanta last year…”

Atlanta’s wide receivers are projected to face tougher opposition this year; FantasyPros rates their schedule as tenth-hardest at that position.

Darnell Mooney returns as another option at wide receiver after finishing No. 34 among PPR receivers but achieving four top-15 finishes during individual weeks last year.

The Ringer noted: “Mooney was a top 12 fantasy receiver in the first half of last season…With new quarterback Michael Penix Jr., Mooney could be a quiet but significant beneficiary of the Falcons offense…”

CBS Sports observed: “Mooney only had one healthy game with Michael Penix Jr….There’s a lot to like about Mooney as a fantasy receiver this season…”

Mike Clay (ESPN) said: “Mooney remains locked into the No. 2 WR role…that’s enough to put him on the flex radar…”

Mooney’s return date from injury is uncertain at present.

Tight end Kyle Pitts enters his fourth NFL season still seeking consistent production but could benefit from further development alongside Penix.

Pat Fitzmaurice (Fantasy Pros) said: “He had 47 catches for 602 yards and a career-high four touchdowns last year…Perhaps there’s hope for Pitts now that he has greater familiarity with [the] system and will be playing with talented young QB Michael Penix Jr.”

The Ringer remarked: “Pitts is one of the best tight end prospects of all time…[Now] Pitts…will play with [the] best QB of his career…”

CBS Sports suggested optimism but cautioned that Pitts should be drafted later rather than earlier due to inconsistency over recent seasons.

Tyler Allgeier remains respected within Atlanta’s organization despite being behind Robinson on depth charts; experts note his value both as an insurance policy if Robinson misses time and as an occasional flex option given Atlanta’s run-heavy approach.

CBS Sports commented: “Allgeier will once again be [the] No. 2 running back…[he] is worth drafting as a handcuff…”

Derek Brown (FantasyPros) added: “[He] remains an elite handcuff option with some standalone flex appeal…”

Mike Clay (ESPN) explained Allgeier’s limited workload but acknowledged his possible value if circumstances change midseason.

Quarterback Michael Penix Jr., set to start after being drafted eighth overall by Atlanta last year, does not yet have widespread support among drafters due to limited rushing upside but could provide value late or off waivers if he takes advantage of favorable matchups—his schedule ranks fifth-easiest by FantasyPros analysis—and leverages strong receiving talent around him.

Derek Brown (FantasyPros) stated: “He was extremely aggressive…[but] it’s unlikely he will finish [as] anything more than QB2.”

The Ringer concluded: “…expectations are high in Atlanta with first-rounders littering [the] offense.”

With several skill players returning or stepping into larger roles alongside Penix Jr., many analysts see opportunity across multiple positions depending on league format or scoring system.
