The Atlanta Falcons have elevated wide receiver Dylan Drummond from the practice squad for their upcoming Week 9 game against the New England Patriots. The game will take place at Gillette Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
This is Drummond’s second elevation this season, following his activation in Week 8 during the team’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. In that game, he played six offensive snaps but did not record any statistics.
Drummond entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and spent his rookie year with the Detroit Lions, where he appeared in one game but did not register any stats across three special teams snaps and five offensive snaps. He has been part of the Falcons’ practice squad for two seasons.
NFL rules allow each team to elevate up to two players from the practice squad to the active roster per game day, with a maximum of three elevations per player each season. If a player is elevated a fourth time, they must be signed to the team’s 53-man roster.
The Falcons have made several other standard practice squad elevations this season, including wide receiver David Sills V and running back Carlos Washington Jr. in Week 1, kicker Parker Romo in Week 2, cornerback Keith Taylor and wide receiver Deven Thompkins in Week 6, and quarterback Easton Stick alongside Drummond in Week 7.
