The Atlanta Falcons have added cornerback Grayland Arnold to their roster, the team announced on Saturday. To make room for Arnold, the Falcons released offensive lineman Kilian Zierer.
Arnold has spent four seasons in the NFL. Most recently, he was part of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad for two months during the 2024 season. His last regular-season action came with the Houston Texans in 2023. Over three seasons with Houston from 2021 to 2023, Arnold appeared in 20 games, mostly contributing on special teams. He also played a stretch of defensive snaps for Houston during four games in the 2023 season, including a Week 5 matchup against Atlanta where he played 28 snaps and made four tackles.
Before joining Houston, Arnold was with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor in 2020. In his final college season at Baylor, Arnold intercepted six passes and led all FBS players with 118 interception return yards.
The addition of Arnold is consistent with Atlanta’s approach of bringing in defensive backs known for creating turnovers.
