The Gray Spring Adult Basketball League announced on April 14 that registration is open for its upcoming season at the Virginia Burton Gray Recreation Center. Adults aged 18 and older can form teams to compete in an eight-team league, with games starting Saturday, May 23. Registration will be accepted in person at the recreation center from April 17 through May 8, and each team entry costs $400, which includes team shirts for up to eight players.

The event offers an opportunity for local adults to participate in organized sports and community activities. Teams will compete for a trophy and the recognition of being league champions.

According to the Georgia Department of Education, Clayton County schools saw a decline in enrollment by 2.5% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year. In total, Clayton County schools enrolled 61,644 students during that period.
