Lake City Center for Nursing and Healing, LLC held the largest capacity in the county during the quarter at 242 beds, while Riverdale Center for Nursing and Healing was second with 152 beds available.
By the close of the first quarter of 2026, Jonesboro Center for Nursing and Healing, LLC had incurred three fines totaling $16,801, along with four penalties.

According to U.S. Census Bureau estimates, the population of older adults in the United States is growing, while the population in younger age brackets is decreasing. Between 2020 and 2024, the number of Americans age 65 and over rose by 13%, and the number of people under 18 dropped by 1.7%. “Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education organization. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
