The Office of Digital Equity announced on Apr. 28 that it will host an Introduction to Canva Training session on Friday, May 8, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Morrow Library located at 6225 Maddox Road in Morrow, Georgia.
The event aims to provide participants with foundational skills in using Canva, a graphic design tool for creating visuals such as social media posts, presentations, and business materials. The training is open to individuals regardless of prior design experience and includes hands-on projects intended to help attendees develop confidence in producing professional graphics.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops; however, computers will also be available onsite. Registration can be completed through the Office of Digital Equity’s registration page.
Clayton County schools have experienced a decrease in enrollment by 2.5% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year according to data from the Georgia Department of Education. The total number of students enrolled in Clayton County schools during that period was reported as 61,644 according to the same source.
Demographic data shows that Black students comprised the largest ethnic group within Clayton County schools at 68%, while Hispanic students made up about 24% as reported by state education statistics. Multiracial students represented approximately 3% and White students accounted for about 2% of total enrollment during the same academic year according to state records.
The upcoming Canva training reflects ongoing efforts by local organizations like the Office of Digital Equity to support skill development and access among residents amid shifting demographic trends.
