State Representative Eric Bell (D-Jonesboro) will hold a food distribution event at Mundy’s Mill High School in Jonesboro, Georgia, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The event is scheduled to begin at noon and aims to provide food to local residents who are in need.
Rep. Bell is organizing the event with support from the Atlanta Community Food Bank and several elected alumni, including Jonesboro Councilman Alfred Dixon, Jonesboro Councilwoman Asjah Miller, Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen, and Jonesboro City Council candidate Cameron Dixon. The food distribution will operate on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies are exhausted.
Volunteers are also needed for the event. Those interested can arrive at 11 a.m., an hour before the start time. To sign up as a volunteer, citizens can email eric.bell@house.ga.gov or call 404-656-0126.
Food for this initiative will be provided by Rep. Bell, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, and the CCPS Alumni Association.
The food distribution will take place at Mundy’s Mill High School located at 9652 Fayetteville Road in Jonesboro.
Burns has served as a Republican member of the Georgia State House since his election in 2005 for the state’s 159th House District; he succeeded Ray Holland. More information about Rep.
