State Representative Eric Bell of Jonesboro has addressed an alleged incident at a Walmart in Riverdale, Georgia. According to Bell, an individual was reportedly taken from the location by people claiming to be ICE agents. Bell stated that these individuals did not provide identification, paperwork, or any explanation for their actions.

In his statement, Bell described the event as “human trafficking at its finest” and called for the immediate release of the person involved and a thorough investigation into what he termed a “rogue operation.” He emphasized that such actions should not instill fear in communities and compared the tactics to those used in pre-Nazi Germany.

Bell urged community members to respond with strength rather than panic. He stated, “We demand justice. We demand peace.” Furthermore, he announced plans to introduce legislation and collaborate with local law enforcement. Bell also encouraged organizing protests, writing letters, making phone calls, and other forms of advocacy until justice is achieved.
