State Representative Sandra Scott has been acknowledged by the Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL) as one of Georgia’s most effective legislators during the 157th Georgia General Assembly. CEL, a group comprising scholars from the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University, released State Legislative Effectiveness Scores highlighting Rep. Scott’s consistent performance.
Rep. Scott ranks at the top for lawmakers who have “Exceeded Expectations” for five consecutive legislative sessions—the longest streak in the Georgia State House. “I am deeply honored by this recognition,” said Rep. Scott. “Despite the structural challenges that come with being in the minority party, I remain committed to introducing strong legislation and fighting every day for Georgia’s children, seniors, veterans and working families.”
She earned a legislative effectiveness score of 1.99 during the 157th session. In this period, she introduced 59 bills, with five advancing through committee stages, two passing successfully, and one being signed into law.
