The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office will hold its monthly Prayer Luncheon on Tuesday, January 22, 2026. The event will take place at the Kiwanis of Griffin Center, located at 1025 South Hill Street in Griffin, Georgia.

Community members interested in attending are asked to contact Julie Shorb by email at jshorb@spaldingcounty.com or by phone at 770-467-5463 before 2:00 PM on the Monday prior to the luncheon. Attendees should specify whether they prefer the entrée plate of the day or a salad entrée when making their reservation. Organizers note that due to increased meal costs, free meals for new attendees are no longer available.

Lunch is scheduled to begin at noon. Those who wish to receive future notifications about the prayer luncheons can request to be added to the email list by contacting Major Pauls at rpauls@spaldingcounty.com.

This month’s menu includes a choice between an entrée plate featuring country fried steak and gravy with mashed potatoes, mixed squash vegetables, and a roll, or an entrée chef salad with a choice of dressing and crackers. All meals come with dessert options such as assorted cakes, cookies, or pies, along with sweet tea or water.

A statement from organizers reads: “Special thanks to Warden Sellers and Lieutenant Don Garvin from the Spalding County Correctional Institution for providing the meal for the luncheon!”
