Spivey Splash Water Park announced on April 23 that it is offering several season pass options for the upcoming year, giving families and individuals access to events and amenities throughout the season.

The announcement comes as Clayton County continues to see changes in its school enrollment and demographic makeup. The park’s offerings are aimed at providing recreational opportunities for local residents during a time of shifting community dynamics.

The Typhoon Pass is available for $140 to Clayton County residents and $190 for non-residents. This pass includes free admission all season, access to event nights, discounted tickets for additional event nights, and one complimentary umbrella rental in June and July. For families, the Family Adventure Pass costs $285 for county residents or $335 for non-residents. It covers entry all season long for two adults and three children. Passes can be purchased online at www.spiveysplash.com or at the International Park Sales Office on Walt Stephens Road in Jonesboro during weekday business hours.

Enrollment at Clayton County schools dropped by 2.5% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education. During that same period, schools enrolled a total of 61,644 students according to state data.

Demographic data show that Black students made up the largest portion of Clayton County’s student body at 68%, while Hispanic students were the second most represented group at 24%. Multiracial students accounted for about 3%, with White students representing just 2% of enrollment according to official figures.
