City of Fayetteville issued the following announcement on March 30.
Fayetteville, Georgia – March 30, 2022 – City of Fayetteville leaders continue to refine a plan to connect several popular destinations with a multi-use path system, and a new survey has been launched to help collect more public input on the High Priority Trail Study plan.
Those who would like to participate in the short survey can find it at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XKXMZ6N.
As part of the City’s 2017 Comprehensive Plan, 2018 Strategic Plan, and 2019 Fayetteville Master Path Plan, city leaders and residents together identified additional sidewalks, multi-use paths, and trails as being high-priority improvements needed in the community. In particular, residents said they would like trails that connect them to key destinations such as The Ridge Nature Area on the west side of the city and the new City Center Park behind City Hall in the Downtown district.
During a March 1 Community Kick Off & Listening Session, City leaders listened to many residents share opinions on a proposed trail system and how it would be developed. Those ideas have been incorporated into a new proposed trail system map, and the survey collects feedback on that new design.
The new survey will be available through Sunday, April 10, 2022. City leaders will review survey results and other feedback as they continue to explore ways to bring the new trail system to fruition.
