Media Advisory - Business Operating Without a Business License or Alcohol Permit
On October 29, 2022, at 12:30 a.m., The Clayton County Multi-Jurisdictional Crime Suppression Take Force known as C.A.G.E. conducted an operation at Tinos Place Hookah Lounge located in the 7400 block of Tara Blvd in Jonesboro, GA. The location had been operating illegally without a business license or an alcohol permit. Upon arrival of officers, a security guard, Taynasha Jones (a 33-year-old female), locked the door preventing the C.A.G.E. from entering.
After approximately 5-6 minutes, the owner arrived and unlocked the front door. Upon entry, officers began clearing the business of patrons. The DJ, Jakorey Parham (a 26-year-old-male), refused to comply and began actively resist. Mr. Parham was eventually taken into custody. The rest of the patrons were removed and left the premises at the request of the C.A.G.E. Unit, and Sector 3/Sector 4 Morning Watch Units.
Tynasha Jones (the security guard that locked the door) was observed taking a package of marijuana off of a table and hiding it on her person. Ms. Jones was also armed with a Glock handgun. Ms. Jones was detained and showed to have active warrants out of College Park, GA.
A search warrant was conducted on the location. A small amount of marijuana was found in the business along with a handgun that was found a cooler in the office. A large amount of alcohol was also located. The open bottles of alcohol were dumped out . The sealed bottles of alcohol were seized and placed into evidence. The location also had a very nice alcoholic drink menu, despite not having an alcohol permit.
The business owners, Shaun Roberts (43) and Kionna Washington (28), were cited for multiple Clayton County code violations. Taynasha Jones was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Tampering with Evidence, Obstruction, and active warrant out of College Park. Jakorey Parham was arrested for Obstruction.
