Media Advisory - Dispute Between Friends Leaves One Dead
On November 19, 2022, at 12:57 p.m., Clayton County Police Officers responded to the 6000 block of Black Bend Court, Riverdale, GA in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim inside the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The victim later succumbed to his injuries.
During the investigation, officers learned that there was an ongoing dispute between the victim and the suspect, Tyrone Taylor (36-year-old male). Tyrone Taylor was immediately taken into custody on scene. Charges are as follows: Malice Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Felony.
The victim’s name will not be released until next-of-kin is notified.
