Media Advisory - Husband Killed During Domestic Dispute

On November 27, 2022, at 7:34 p.m., Clayton County Police Officers responded to 5771 Trammel Road, Morrow, GA 30260 in reference to a person stabbed call. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim, Michael James (50), lying on the ground with the suspect, Tameka Scrivens (42), performing C.P.R. During the investigation, officers learned Mr. James and Mrs. Scrivens were husband and wife. A physical altercation occurred between the two which lead to Mrs. Scrivens stabbing Mr. James. 

Michael James was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Tameka Scrivens was charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Crime.
