Media Advisory - Entering Auto Suspect in Custody
On December 11, 2022, at 4:39 a.m., Sector 3 Morning Watch Officers responded to the 200 block of Country Club Drive, Jonesboro, GA regarding a suspicious male wearing a bookbag and walking in the area. Officers flooded the area due to recent car break-ins, but did not immediately locate anyone. Officers continued searching the neighborhoods on Thomas Road and made contact with the suspect, Brionte Alexander (25), who was walking toward an address located on Sleepy Hollow Lane. Mr. Alexander was detained on suspicions of prowling after providing officers with inconsistent statements. Mr. Alexander provided consent to search his book bag. Officers located a wallet belonging to the victim located in that area. Officer made contact with the victim who confirmed his vehicle was unlocked and unlawfully entered. The victim’s property was returned. Suspect Brionte Alexander was charged with Entering Auto and Loitering/Prowling.
