Media Advisory - Double Homicide Involving A Teenager
On December 8, 2022, at 11:50 p.m., Clayton County Police Officers responded to 6668 Mount Zion Blvd, Morrow, GA in reference to a person shot call. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Zachary Tallant (20-year-old white male), deceased in the middle of the parking lot.
At 11:57 p.m., Officers were notified of a second victim, Juan Jose Montalvo (25-year-old Hispanic male) at a second location. Officers were dispatched to the 6600 block of Londonderry Drive, Morrow, GA. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Juan Jose Mantalvo, deceased near the driveway of the residence from multiple gunshot wounds.
Due to the location of both victims and the time both shootings occurred, officers immediately realized the two victims were involved in the same incident. The Clayton County Police Department- Criminal Investigations Division immediately responded to the scene and started the homicide investigation.
The investigation revealed a 16-year-old white male was involved in the incident. The sixteen-year-old white male is in custody. Detectives were able to establish probable cause for two counts of Felony/Malice Murder, Tampering with Evidence, and two counts of Aggravated Assault.
