Overview - Message from the National Weather Service
Several rounds of rain showers and isolated storms on Wednesday and Thursday are expected to bring between 1.5-3.5 inches of rain to the forecast area, with locally higher amounts possible.
Main Points / Impacts (for North & Central GA)
The primary hazard will be isolated flooding, with 1.5-3.5 inches of rainfall forecast for the Peachtree City Forecast area (see image below), with locally higher amounts possible.
Isolated Flash Flooding will be a concern where heavy bands of rain persist for prolonged periods of time.
Runoff from rain/storms may also cause scattered River Flooding, especially for flashy creeks and streams.
Light rain may begin as early as early Wednesday morning, with heavier rains and isolated thunderstorms possible by late Wednesday afternoon and persisting through Thursday morning.
No severe thunderstorms are expected for the Peachtree City forecast area at this time.
