Fire Marshal's Office Issues Burn Ban
Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) reports abnormal system pressure in various areas of Clayton County. Therefore, to ensure life safety and to lessen the risk of additional property damage, the Clayton County Fire Marshal's Office is issuing a temporary Outdoor Burning Ban. This ban will prohibit yard debris from burning regardless of the weather conditions that day.
This ban will stay in effect until the CCWA reports normal operations within the county.
Residents must call the Clayton County Burn Line at 770-473-3836 to see whether burning is allowed in the county. This information is updated by 9:00 a.m.
Persons violating this request shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $1,000.00 per violation.
