FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons' offense underwent significant changes this offseason.

Familiar faces such as running back Bijan Robinson, wide receiver Drake London, tight end Kyle Pitts, and the entire offensive line return to Atlanta. However, new additions in key positions are set to make an impact.

The Falcons have a new head coach in Raheem Morris, a new offensive coordinator in Zac Robinson, and a new starting quarterback in Kirk Cousins. These three are crucial for the team's revamped style of play expected in September.

With training camp approaching, here is a breakdown of the offense by unit:

**Coaching Staff**

Notable new faces include Zac Robinson (OC), Ike Hilliard (WR), and Kevin Koger (TE). Returning coaches are Dwayne Ledford (OL), Michael Pitre (RB), and T.J. Yates (QB).

Zac Robinson brings elements from the Los Angeles Rams' offense, likely increasing tempo and explosiveness. As a first-time play-caller, his adaptation will be critical early in the season. T.J. Yates transitions from coaching wide receivers to quarterbacks, beneficial for developing young talent like rookie Michael Penix Jr. Ike Hilliard takes over wide receivers with an emphasis on speed, while Kevin Koger oversees tight ends.

**Quarterback**

Newcomers include Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix Jr., with Taylor Heinicke returning. Kirk Cousins is projected to start after signing a four-year, $180 million contract despite ending last season on injured reserve due to a torn Achilles. Rookie Michael Penix Jr., selected eighth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, offers potential for future development under Zac Robinson's guidance.

**Running Back**

Jase McClellan joins returning players Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier, and Carlos Washington Jr. Bijan Robinson aims to build on his rookie success with 976 rushing yards and 487 receiving yards last season. Tyler Allgeier remains a reliable No. 2 option. Jase McClellan could see action if he recovers from a lingering foot injury.

**Wide Receiver**

New faces include Darnell Mooney, Ray-Ray McCloud, Rondale Moore, and Casey Washington alongside returning Drake London and KhaDarel Hodge. Emphasizing speed this year aligns with the new offensive scheme influenced by Sean McVay's system with the Los Angeles Rams.

**Tight End**

Charlie Woerner and Ross Dwelley join Kyle Pitts and John FitzPatrick. A healthy Kyle Pitts is expected to be a major asset after recovering from injury last season. Woerner and Dwelley bring blocking expertise valuable for both passing and running plays.

**Offensive Line**

No notable new faces; all starters return: Jake Matthews, Matthew Bergeron, Drew Dalman, Chris Lindstrom, Kaleb McGary along with reserves Barry Wesley, Tyler Vrabel among others.

The Falcons' offensive line was ranked fourth-best by Pro Football Focus last season and returns intact for 2024.
