FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons signed offensive tackles Julién Davenport and Zack Bailey to their 90-man roster, the team announced Wednesday.
Davenport brings five seasons of NFL experience to Atlanta. He was originally picked by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He remained with the Texans for two seasons before moving to the Miami Dolphins for another two and then a one-year stop with the Indianapolis Colts.
Davenport, 29, has appeared in 60 career games, starting 32. His last live snap came in 2021. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound lineman has spent time with the Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Giants since that time but hasn't landed an active roster spot.
Davenport also played for the UFL's San Antonio Brahmas.
Bailey first entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019. He then made stops at multiple teams before landing with the Chargers, where he appeared in his only NFL game in 2022.
The Falcons have their starters solidified with Jake Matthews at left tackle and Kaleb McGary at right tackle in 2024, as the two bookended the offensive line last season. Davenport and Bailey, however, could prove themselves as possible depth options during training camp, which began Wednesday.
As corresponding moves, the Falcons released punter Ryan Sanborn and offensive tackle Ryan Coll. Both are undrafted free agents.
