Falcons announce multiple promotions and new hires within their football operations staff

The Atlanta Falcons have announced a series of promotions and new hires within their football operations staff. Ryan Pace has been promoted to vice president of football operations/player personnel, Tokunbo "Tumbo" Abanikanda to director of college scouting, Michael Ross to assistant director of college scouting, Hakeem Smith to pro scout, Stephanie Gutierrez to senior director of football systems, Danny Leskin to manager of football data science, and Nathan Ellis to scouting coordinator.

Additionally, the Falcons have hired Harrison Ritcher as a national scout and Cami Pasqualoni and Kevin Weisman as scouting assistants.

Pace joined the organization in 2022 as a senior personnel executive before being promoted to director of player personnel in 2023. He previously served seven seasons (2015-21) as the general manager of the Chicago Bears and was part of the New Orleans Saints personnel department from 2001-14.

Abanikanda began his tenure with the Falcons in 2012 as a scouting assistant. He later took on the role of an area scout responsible for the southeast region in 2013 and was promoted to national scout in 2021.

Ross joined the Falcons in 2008 as a player personnel intern. His new role marks his seventh promotion within the organization. Previously, he was promoted to national scout in 2021 after serving two years as a regional scout, four years as an area scout, and one year as a pro scout.

Smith started with Atlanta's staff in 2022 as a scouting assistant on the personnel staff before being promoted to assistant pro scout in 2023. Prior to joining the Falcons, Smith served at the University of Pittsburgh Football Recruiting Office from 2019-22.

Gutierrez joined the Falcons in 2018 and oversees internal football operation applications while working closely with various departments. In addition to her responsibilities with technology integration, she serves on both AMBSE's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion council since 2020 and now co-chairs Atlanta Falcons' DE&I council. Before joining Atlanta, she worked for STATS LLC for three years followed by serving as a senior software engineer for the Chicago Bears starting in 2014.

Leskin began his career with Atlanta in 2018 as a football analyst before advancing to senior coordinator of football analytics. He previously worked at Tishman Construction Company where he contributed significantly to LaGuardia Airport’s $4.7 billion redevelopment project.

Ellis became part of Atlanta’s team after working two years at University of South Carolina's recruiting office following an internship with Los Angeles Chargers' pro scouting department from 2021-22.
