The Atlanta Falcons have elevated cornerback Kevin King and wide receiver Chris Blair from the practice squad for Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Both King and Blair were notable participants in Falcons training camp, featuring in all three preseason games.

King recorded six tackles and secured the Falcons' sole interception during the preseason. He intercepted Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson in the preseason opener, returning the ball 29 yards, which led to a Falcons touchdown.

King's professional background includes five seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2017-2021, where he played in 51 games, making 42 starts. During his tenure with the Packers, he accumulated 197 tackles, 30 pass breakups, and seven interceptions. His most productive season was in 2019 when he tallied 66 tackles, 15 pass breakups, and five interceptions.

King took a hiatus from the NFL in 2022 due to personal reasons and missed the entire 2023 season due to an Achilles tendon injury sustained while training for a preseason opportunity.

Blair tied for fourth in receiving yards during this preseason with 154 yards on eight receptions. He also participated in all three games.

Blair entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2021. Last season, he was part of the Falcons' practice squad and played in one game during Week 12 against the New Orleans Saints. In that game, he logged nine offensive snaps (15%) and ten special teams snaps (42%) but did not record any statistics.

The Falcons-Steelers game is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on FOX.
