Despite playing in the Falcons' Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta is continuing to monitor the quad injury of inside linebacker Nate Landman. He did not participate in Thursday's practice. They also listed his calf in Thursday's injury report.

Landman has been working through this injury since the tail end of the preseason, even missing a few practices prior to the start of game week. Once Week 1 preparation began, Landman was out on the field in limited fashion. By Friday, he was a full participant.

Landman rotated in and out of Sunday's game with fellow linebacker Troy Andersen. Landman actually played a few more snaps than Andersen despite Andersen getting the start. They split time fairly evenly, with Landman taking 54% of the defensive snaps in Week 1 and Andersen taking 46%. Landman combined for six total tackles in the game, including a notable 4th-and-1 stop of Steelers' running back Najee Harris inside the Atlanta 5-yard line in the fourth quarter.

Like last week, how Landman progresses physically through the week will be something to monitor.

In other news, defensive back Antonio Hamilton Sr. (groin) was also out Thursday, while right tackle Kaleb McGary was limited with a groin injury.
