FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The turnaround from the Falcons' Monday night win over the Eagles and preparation to host the Chiefs this Sunday night is tight. Week 3's preparation is fully underway. The Falcons had their first full practice day Wednesday, releasing their first injury report of the week at the practice's conclusion. A handful of names were limited in said report, including running back Tyler Allgeier.
Allgeier was limited Wednesday with a hip injury. He is coming off a game in which the Falcons' run game performed well against a stout Philadelphia defense. Allgeier contributed 53 yards on nine carries to the team's total of 152 rushing yards. He averaged 5.9 yards per carry alongside Bijan Robinson's 6.9 average.
Allgeier took 13 offensive snaps Monday night, amounting to 21% of the plays. He also participated in 13 special teams snaps during the game.
Also listed on Wednesday's injury report with a hip injury was defensive lineman James Smith-Williams, who was also limited in practice. Smith-Williams has been a rotational contributor over the last two games for the Falcons, combining for six total tackles, three of which were for a loss.
Defensive back Antonio Hamilton Sr. and defensive lineman Ta'Quon Graham were also limited in Wednesday's practice. Head coach Raheem Morris noted that Hamilton is getting closer to full health after missing the first two games of the season with a groin injury. Graham's limited status was not injury-related; he was designated as a resting player.
The full injury reports for both the Falcons and Chiefs can be viewed leading up to Sunday night's game.
