The Atlanta Falcons have released their estimated injury report as they prepare for a short week leading up to their Week 5 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night. The report is based on estimations because the team did not practice on Monday, but NFL rules require an injury report to be posted nonetheless.
Inside linebacker Troy Andersen, who left Sunday night's game against the New Orleans Saints with a knee injury, was estimated to be the only player who would not have participated in a hypothetical practice. To address depth concerns at inside linebacker, especially with Nate Landman already on injured reserve, the Falcons reportedly signed former inside linebacker Rashaan Evans to the practice squad. Evans previously started 17 games for the Falcons in 2022 under defensive coordinator Dean Pees, recording 159 tackles (six for a loss) and two sacks.
Head coach Raheem Morris provided an update on Andersen's condition Monday afternoon, stating that Andersen is "hurting pretty good" but is considered day-to-day in his recovery. Offensive tackle Kaleb McGary, who also suffered a knee injury last week and missed Sunday's game against the Saints, is similarly listed as day-to-day. McGary was listed as limited on Monday's estimated injury report.
Additionally, running back Bijan Robinson (hamstring) and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud (ankle) were both listed as limited participants in Monday's estimation.
