The Atlanta Falcons have made changes to their lineup ahead of the Thursday Night Football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Notably, rookie defensive lineman Ruke Orhorhoro will be active for the first time this season. Orhorhoro, drafted in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, had been a healthy scratch for the initial four games.
To accommodate Orhorhoro's activation, defensive lineman Kentavius Street will be inactive. Street has participated in a rotational capacity during the first four games, playing between 26% and 31% of defensive snaps and recording four tackles.
Rookie defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus and running back Jase McClellan remain inactive alongside Orhorhoro.
Inside linebacker Troy Andersen is also ruled out due to a knee injury sustained in last Sunday's victory over the Saints. With Nate Landman on injured reserve, rookie JD Bertrand is expected to start with Kaden Elliss at linebacker.
In offensive line news, Matt Hennessy was elevated from the practice squad earlier Thursday. Right tackle Kaleb McGary returns from a knee injury, providing depth to the offensive line. Consequently, interior linemen Elijah Wilkinson and Jovaughn Gwyn are inactive.
The complete list of inactive players for Thursday night includes:
- RB Jase McClellan
- ILB Troy Andersen
- DL Brandon Dorlus
- OL Jovaughn Gwyn
- OL Elijah Wilkinson
- T Brandon Parker
- DL Kentavius Street
