The Atlanta Falcons' strategy for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft and quarterback Kirk Cousins' timeline were recently discussed by team reporter Tori McElhaney. In a Q&A session, McElhaney provided insights into Cousins' injury status and the team's draft considerations.

Addressing a question from Alex B. on social media, McElhaney outlined a detailed timeline of Cousins' injury situation. On November 13, Cousins appeared on the injury report with right shoulder and elbow issues. Despite being listed as a full participant in subsequent practices, he did not receive a game designation against the Denver Broncos. After losses to both the Broncos and Chargers, Cousins maintained that his physical condition was good. However, after the Falcons decided to start Michael Penix Jr., head coach Raheem Morris stated it was "just a football decision," unrelated to injuries.

Cousins later disclosed on February 4 during an interview on Good Morning Football that he had been dealing with injuries following a game against the Saints in Week 10. He explained, "I got hit pretty good in my right shoulder and elbow," but assured that these did not significantly impact his performance.

In response to Barry W.'s inquiry about potential draft picks Malaki Starks and Mykel Williams, McElhaney agreed that enhancing pass rush and secondary should be priorities for the Falcons. She noted challenges in acquiring first-round picks due to limited draft capital and salary cap constraints but suggested trading back could help fill defensive gaps.

Jacqulyn B., interested in girls flag football opportunities supported by the Falcons, received information about applying for funding through Arthur Blank's grant system for equipment and training purposes. Additionally, she was advised to monitor announcements for clinics and camps via Instagram and AtlantaFalcons.com Community page.

McElhaney expressed enthusiasm about growing interest in girls flag football, particularly noting her response coincided with National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
