The Atlanta Falcons have announced the signing of safety Jordan Fuller. The 27-year-old athlete joins the team from the Carolina Panthers, with previous experience playing for the Los Angeles Rams. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero first reported this development on March 19.

Fuller entered the NFL in 2020 as a sixth-round draft pick by the Rams. In his rookie season, he started all 12 games he played, achieving 60 tackles, five pass breakups, and three interceptions. His season was interrupted by a shoulder injury that sidelined him for four games.

In 2021, Fuller played every game under Raheem Morris, who was then the defensive coordinator for the Rams and is now head coach of the Falcons. During that year, Fuller recorded 113 tackles along with four pass breakups and an interception.

A hamstring injury in 2022 limited Fuller to just three games, during which he managed to force his first fumble but only logged 12 tackles. He rebounded in 2023 with a standout performance in his final year under his rookie contract. Fuller accumulated 94 tackles, eight pass breakups, three interceptions, and three forced fumbles over the season.

Upon becoming a free agent in 2024, Fuller was signed by the Carolina Panthers. Last season saw him record 54 tackles, one pass breakup, and a forced fumble across nine starts before another hamstring injury placed him on injured reserve.

Fuller's career statistics include 333 tackles, 18 pass breakups, seven interceptions, and five forced fumbles over his professional tenure spanning 55 starts and 57 appearances.

Joining Atlanta's secondary lineup likely means Fuller will partner with starting safety Jessie Bates III. Fuller's arrival comes as Justin Simmons enters free agency without any current reports of re-signing with Atlanta. Meanwhile, DeMarcco Hellams remains an option despite recovering from an ankle injury that kept him out last season.
