Died April 7 in Fort Worth, Texas

He died April 7, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was 76. He played 13 seasons for the Dallas Cowboys. He won two Super Bowls. He made six Pro Bowls and three All‑Pro teams. He was diagnosed with dementia in 2012 and had seizures in later years. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006. His rise from Griffin to NFL legend resonated in his community.
