54 percent of applicants to Clayton State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Clayton State University, 62 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 69 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Morrow enrolled 7,038 students in fall 2018, including 6,597 in undergraduate and 441 in graduate programs, data shows. 13.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Georgia, and 3 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (61 percent) and white (18 percent).

The school admitted 54 percent of the 1,974 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 60 percent enrolled.
