Southern Crescent Technical College issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.

Clayton State University and Southern Crescent Technical College signed a transfer articulation agreement on Thursday, July 29, 2021.  Under this new agreement, effective Fall 2021, Southern Crescent Technical College students who successfully complete their Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies will be eligible to be admitted to Clayton State University and transfer considerable credits to earn a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies.

“The agreement is an invaluable resource for transfer students who desire to get a baccalaureate degree. It contains the list of courses accepted for transfer between two colleges. It documents a clear path from one program to another and makes it easier for SCTC students to transfer to Clayton State and know that their credit will be accepted. I appreciate the great work of Professor Antoinette France-Harris and her colleagues in developing this important agreement,” said Dr. Nasser Momayezi, dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.

“We are excited to be entering into our tenth articulation agreement with Clayton State University.  We have enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Clayton State and we are thrilled to add this agreement for our Paralegal Studies program to our growing list of seamless transfer options,” said SCTC President Dr. Alvetta P. Thomas.  “This partnership and the expanded educational opportunities it brings is of great benefit to our students as well as our College and the communities that we serve.  At Southern Crescent Technical College, we strive to help students to reach their educational and personal goals as we work to build strong students, strong careers, and strong communities.”
