Fayetteville, Georgia – April 14, 2022 – Fayetteville City Hall and the Fayette County Public Library in Fayetteville are once again collection points for a non-perishable food drive organized by Andrew’s Fun & Helpful Community. “Cans for Children & Food for Families” boxes are located in the lobby areas of both locations.
All food items collected will be donated to Fayette Samaritans, which has been providing food and emergency assistance to Fayette County residents for more than 20 years. Those wishing to contribute are asked to bring their non-perishable items by Friday, May 13, 2022.

“It’s a highlight for us to participate with the Fleming Brothers’ food drive every year, and I’m glad it’s 2022 and they’re still inspiring Fayetteville and Fayette County to be a ‘Fun & Helpful Community,’” said Fayetteville City Manager Ray Gibson. “Our mayor, council, and City employees have embraced this project, and I hope we see a lot of food donated this year here at City Hall and next door at the Library.”
Funding for the Fleming Brothers’ food drive has again been provided by the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation Youth Grant through Youth Service America. Andrew was one of 100 young leaders across the country awarded grants to organize projects to help end childhood hunger.
In addition to charity and scholastic work, Andrew is advancing to several national speech competitio
